I have been working in the Mortgage Banking Field since 2001. My first 6 years were spent as a Wholesale Lender giving me the knowledge of guidelines and how to build a relationship that lasts a lifetime by doing the right thing for the client all the time. In 2010 I made the transition to the Mortgage Consulting side of the business taken all my knowledge of guidelines, building relationships with realtors and clients and always doing the right thing for my Realtors and client. It has never been and will never be about the transaction for me, it has always been and always will be about the client and what is right for them. My business philosophy has always been and always will listen to what the client is saying treat them with respect and it is never about the transaction it is about the client. When you treat people the way you want to be treated, respect them and listen to what they have to say they will be your client for life.

After 30 years spent mostly in food service, I was brought into mortgage lending in 2001 by the loan officer who helped me purchase my Washington home. After a year renting my dream home, with the plan to purchase in a year or two, the owner suddenly decided to sell…immediately. The purchase proved to be an extremely difficult transaction due to bad timing and poor preparation. It seemed like a miracle to find Maureen, my loan officer, first because she managed to overcome any and all obstacles encountered on the way to closing, and then for teaching me how to help others in the same way.

Personal experience has taught me that the equity someone owns in his or her home can be used to expand real estate holdings, make improvements to a home, or to restructure existing debt and improve a homeowner's cash flow. Whatever purpose or loan type fits a borrower's needs, my team can help. Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Construction and Non-Conforming are all loan types in my toolkit. But regardless of the type of loan needed, owning a home is an individual's the first step to financial security.

My realtors and clients say that my commitment to teaching prospective homebuyers, especially first-time homebuyers, how to prepare for the home purchase experience and homeownership, and support given through the purchase process is what sets me apart from most loan officers they know. Perhaps because my own purchase was so stressful, it's become my personal mission to protect my clients from having a similar experience.

I moved to the Puget Sound area in 1998 from eastern North Dakota where my sister and her family still live. My free time is spent with my children and grandchildren, in my garden, and helping at my church where I do most of the cooking and sing in the choir.

Welcome! I started in the mortgage business back in 2002 and quickly realized I had found not only my career but a true passion.

After having my son in 2003, I continued to work on the Operations side of the house for over 20 years. During that time, I was able to help thousands of homebuyers through the process and see the excitement of their dreams becoming a reality. After becoming an empty nester in 2021, I knew I needed something more. I wanted to give more. And that, is how I ended up on the Sales side of the house😊!

My mission is simple: To help as many people as possible secure a place to call HOME. Homeownership is fun and exciting, but with it also comes great responsibility. My goal is to help educate people about homeownership so that they can not only be excited, but also feel they've made a smart and comfortable financial decision. Choosing me as your lender, you can feel confident every step of the way. Transparency and Communication are KEY to any transaction, and mortgages are no different!

Whether you're wondering what it would take to buy your first home, are ready to purchase your second home or are interested in building your investment portfolio, let The Taylor Team find the perfect mortgage fit for you – because everyone deserves a place to call their own.
