Job Title: VP of Mortgage Lending with On Q Home Loans

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Registered and maintains active, On Q sponsored registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLSR) and has been assigned a unique identification number.
  • Meets and maintains all licensing requirements including continuing education.
  • Originates mortgage loans in compliance with On Q requirements and federal and local regulations.
  • Works with customers by providing best loan solution for each customer, providing continual updates and advice throughout process.
  • Analyzes detailed financial and credit data, matching customer needs with appropriate loan program and level of risk.
  • Negotiates terms and conditions of loans with customers.
  • Develops and maintains referral relationships with realtors, developers, builders, community/network sources and other referrals.
  • Spends significant time outside of office in business development and consultation activities with borrowers, builders, realtors and other business channel associates.
  • Comply with all disclosure requirements and timeframes.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2+ years of origination experience with residential mortgage banking.
  • Current state licensing and registration under the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry
  • Established, consistent source of referral-based business from realtors, builders, attorneys, financial professionals and other sources.
  • Focus on customer service and relationships with all clients.
  • Proven sales, prospecting and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to thoroughly comprehend underwriting guidelines, as well as programs, policies and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of real estate appraisals, title reports and real estate transactions; ability to interpret documents and reports.
  • Ability to clearly communicate loan terms, features and benefits to consumers and business partners.
  • Ability to meet minimum production requirements.
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings with builders and developers.
  • Highly motivated, professional, and desire to be the best.
  • Must be knowledgeable about and stay in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Encompass.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit top quality branches, branch managers, sales managers and/or loan officers
  • Develop and grow the market share and profitability of directly managed branches and loan officers
  • Develop and grow the number of branches that will be managed as a sales leader and manage the profitability of the branches
  • Directly, and indirectly, manage the branches to Regional Sales targets set by the National Sales Manager, and maximize the ability of the branches to effectively manage expenses and drive revenue
  • Conduct research on industry trends and best practices to identify and analyze trends and market intelligence for an assigned regional territory; providing regular feedback to assist in the development of sales strategies
  • Work with National Sales Manager to deliver a clear and concise monthly performance analysis that reflects that all branches under management are exceeding sales projections or develop a plan of action to meet stated goals
  • Design and execute multi –level strategies to ensure regional market penetration in order to meet sales targets within a defined timeline
  • Tactically deliver on National Sales Managers established vision
  • Actively managing the branch pipeline, with the branch managers, on a daily basis

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Regional Manager or related position in the mortgage industry
  • Previous management and consistent production experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented to drive the branches to achieve goals
  • Effective communicator. Must be able to ensure all branch manager and area managers are knowledgeable about goals, objectives and responsibilities
  • Strong management skills. Must be able to manage reports to achieve desired results
  • Must have strong financial management skills to analyze data and information to make decisions and challenge direct reports
  • Highly professional. Ability to model the organizational pace and direction for their branches
  • Highly ethical and driven to succeed
  • A thorough knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, GNMA, mortgage insurer guidelines, TIL regulations, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, RESPA regulations, local and state real estate and finance laws, and Company Policy Compliance and Ethics Codes
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
